Bridge-building machine sitting pretty above Manchester Ship Canal as construction teams build south approach viaduct
The Mersey Gateway’s giant bridge-building machine ‘Webster’ has built the section of the approach road in Runcorn that will take traffic across the Manchester Ship Canal and onto the new bridge.
Essential work on the Mersey Gateway Project means the following new road, lane and footpath closures will be in place over the coming days and weeks.
There are currently no new road, lane or footpath closures planned for the period before Christmas.
